Odd System Controller Details

System controllers are dual redundant UltraSparc IIe based, and not even built by Sun. It does not run Solaris, instead it runs a real-time OS. It has its “virtual serial port” system console connections via the midplane (9.6 GB/s serial ports!)
Virtual keyswitches are used instead of the physical ones.
